School Hours

Redeemer’s school day has been designed to maximise learning opportunities for our students.

It is recommended that students arrive at the College from 8:25am to prepare for the day.

The Administration Office is open from 8am. Playground Supervision begins at 8:15am. Primary Students coming to school earlier than this are required to sit and wait in the eating area until released by the teacher on duty. Similarly, Secondary Students wait in the Secondary School Courtyard.

In Primary School, the days are scheduled in the following way to maximise the improved attention span of young children in the morning.

8.45am	Start of school day
8.45am – 10.15am	Session 1: Intensive Literacy or Numeracy Instruction
10.15am – 10:25am	Morning Tea – Eating time
10.25am – 10.45am	Morning Tea – Play time
10.45am – 1.00pm	Session 1: Intensive Literacy or Numeracy Instruction
1:00pm – 1.10pm	Lunch time – Eating time
1.10pm – 1.40pm	Lunch time – Play time
1.40pm – 2.55pm	End of School Day

In the Secondary School, the days are scheduled into 4 periods per day.

8.45am – 9.05am	Pastoral Care
9.05am – 10.15am	Period 1
10.15am – 10:45am	Break – Morning Tea
10.45am – 1.10pm	Period 2 and Period 3
1.10pm – 1.40pm	Break – Lunch
1.40pm – 2.50pm	Period 4
2:50pm	End of School Day
