Teachers and students at Redeemer Lutheran College, Biloela engage in a variety of Music, Art and Speech and Drama activities including the local Eisteddfod. The College has a band and three choirs, which perform on special occasions. Concerts and other performances are held at times to give students the experience of performing on stage.
All year levels from Preparatory to Year 8 participate in weekly classroom music lessons conducted by the Music Director.
The College has an Instrumental Music Program and students in Years 3 to 7 are invited to participate. The Program is under the guidance of our Music Director. Instruments included in the program are flute, alto saxophone, piano, tenor saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, bass guitar and percussion. Once students reach a suitable level they are encouraged to participate in the College Band.
Whole School Assembly, led by student leaders, is held regularly. Assembly is an opportunity to celebrate and showcase student learning and provide another opportunity for developing confidence in presenting to an audience. Parents are welcome to attend.
End of Year Performance
The Arts and providing opportunities for students to develop performance confidence is highly valued in our community. As a whole of college activity, each year, every student participates in the school’s performance.
